Well helllllllllllllllllllllllo, Internet people.
Last time I was in Beijing I documented next to nothing—took only a few pictures, did only a few journal entries, etc. I was too busy settling into a new life, and didn’t really take the time to reflect on much of anything. This time around I’m going to try to stick to a post-a-day, complete with a picture and possibly video. I think having a daily assignment will jumpstart my writing; additionally, everyone and their mom seems to be on tumblr these days, which will make communication with the folks at home much easier.
I’ll be posting day-to-day things, from trips we take to tips on moving abroad. I’ll post things occassionally about how to make a transition into China without losing your mind, if only because last year I would have killed for a tumblr/website like that. At its core, this tumblr is going to be a love letter, I think—a year of love for Beijing, my favorite city in the world.
